Salt Depot Viper Melt and Viper 2.0

Viper Melt and Viper 2.0 use calcium magnesium acetate to melt ice. Melt uses a blend of 20% CMA and Salt Depot’s Purple Heat (see above), while 2.0 is 100% CMA.

Melt is “less corrosive than tap water,” according to the company, and has melting temperatures down to minus 13 degrees Fahrenheit. Viper 2.0 is LEED Certified and completely non-corrosive; because it has no sodium-based products, it only melts down to 10 degrees.
