DesignIntelligence, an AEC market research firm based in Peachtree, Georgia, recently released its analysis of the most admired design programs for the 2018-2019 school year.
The firm surveyed over 6,100 hiring professionals at architecture, landscape architecture and interior design firms across the country. Hiring managers were asked to select up to 10 schools that they most admire when they consider the quality of the program, the faculty at the school, the culture and the level of student preparation for their field.
The landscape architecture analysis only considered schools with programs accredited by the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board.
Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania’s landscape architecture programs retained the top two spots for the 2018-2019 school year.
Cornell and Kansas State each stepped up one spot to the No. 3 and No. 4 positions, while Louisiana State fell from the third most admired school to the fifth.
DesignIntelligence also asked respondents to rate schools based on 12 focus areas.
Here are the five most admired schools with landscape architecture programs for graduate students, along with their ranking in specific focus areas.
