Lawn service platform Lawn Love recently announced it has added snow removal services to its offerings.
“A lot of our lawn care pros already do this as a natural, seasonal complement to lawn services that go to zero in the winter,” Jeremy Yamaguchi, founder and CEO of Lawn Love told Colorado Patio & Landscape. “We saw both our customers and our provider partners [asking] us to set something like this up.”
Homeowners can book same-day or next-day services or sign up for regular snow removal services, Yamaguchi said.
“Unlike most companies, we don’t lock [homeowners] into a contract,” he said. “We set up a plan and monitor local weather data in your zip code.”
Lawn Love’s proprietary software monitors local weather data to estimate how much snow a homeowner will get over a two-week period. If there’s enough snow predicted that a customer might need a service, the platform generates a job order and sends it to the homeowner. The client can decline it or accept it and receive a bill within two days.
The software combines high-resolution satellite images and machine learning supplemented by human mapping to generate job quotes.
“We measure front-, side- and back-lawn areas, as well as driveways, sidewalks and roofs,” Yamaguchi explained. “In the future if you need really accurate and instant quotes for lawn services or gutter cleanings,” the software can provide those.
Lawn Love covers professionals on its platform with a multimillion-dollar general liability policy, he added.
Yamaguchi noted that his company has “continued to grow in the Denver and Colorado Springs areas,” adding that the platform hosts 67 professionals in the Denver metro area and around 40 in Colorado Springs.
