Atlanta-based LawnTap will launch a lawn sensor in March that aims to automate lawn care and maintenance.
LawnTap is a mobile app that connects consumers with lawn care providers. The Gaia lawn sensor will monitor grass height, water conditions and other factors. Users set their preferences in the app; when conditions meet those pre-determined levels, the app sends a request to a local pro- vider. Users can then approve the request or add services. Payments can be made through the app.
As of press time, LawnTap’s services are only available in Georgia and Texas. Wilkinson Egwu, CEO of LawnTap, told Colorado Lawn & Landscape that he plans to expand into Colorado by June or earlier.
